Time & Space Machine
.

.
Time & Space Machine was a performative sculpture.
2 meters high and made in MDF, painted grey and connected using custom modified bolts replicating the hexagonal form of the cylinder.
.
For the first showing, participants could step inside the machine and close the door, inside hung a pair of VR glasses, connected to a computer hidden inside the sculpture.
With the glasses on, the viewer could see a 3D replication of the very same space that they just happened to inhabit before putting on the glasses, full view of the white cube, but without the walls of the sculpture blocking the 3D VR sight and a room with no other participants, while the “real” room was filled with other people.
This sculpture was to become a central part of my practice for the next few years, being the narrative connection in Time & Space Cowboys, Centenary Zero and Ghost of Civilization.
