Centenary Zero is a fully animated short film from 2015.
A project that connected the two worlds; “Time & Space Cowboys” project, and the “Ghost of…” series, introducing Kunstbøllerne and Time & Space Cowboys from each universe into a connected one, along with the introduction of a whole cast of new characters consisting of; The Freelancer, CMYK, The Authenticator, The Couple, The Agent, The Journalist.
Centenary Zero takes place in a new metropolis in Antarctica called “The Colorsphere”. “The Drones” are introduced, surveilling the city; the story is seen through the lens of a drone. Lots of conflicts are present, “Kunstbøllerne” has stolen the “Time & Space Machine“, and wish to create a clone army. “CMYK” are making weapon deals with the Drones for Exoskeletons, “The Agent” steals “The Manual” from the “The Authenticator” and escapes into another timeline.
A conceptual use of colors and painting has always been related to my films, for example in the scenography and the costumes that I create by painting on clothes and other props, which are closely tied thematically and narratively in the films and projects, for example, by the way the colors in “Centenary Zero” aligns the different characters to different territories and areas of control. The projects deal with the art institution, revolution, psychology, science-fiction, computer games, oppression and dominance technologies, in a very playful and childlike universe.
